During a low-scoring contest on Sunday, the Broncos clinched a close victory over the winless New York Jets. Signal-caller Bo Nix connected on a first-quarter scoring strike and specialist Wil Lutz provided the game-winning go-ahead field goal to seal the hard-fought win.

Dominant Performance Seals Contest

Despite registering nine sacks versus Jets quarterback Justin Fields, the Broncos found themselves trailing 11-10 after conceding a safety in the third quarter. Interestingly, the Jets could only produce just 82 offensive yards during the contest.

The Denver quarterback, who went 19 of 30 attempts for 174 yards, led a critical 12-play, 65-yard possession that culminated in Lutz's 27-yard field goal with approximately five minutes remaining.

Historic Struggles for Jets Attack

Despite their dismal offensive display, the Jets still had the ball with a chance to drive for a potential winning score. But Fields was tackled on fourth-and-eight from the Denver 44 when coach Aaron Glenn chose to go for it rather than calling on kicker Nick Folk for a difficult field-goal attempt.

Fields had difficulties throughout, completing just 9 of 17 attempts for 45 yards. New York ended up with minus-10 passing yards, the lowest in any contest since 1998.

"Our passing game was non-existent," the coach stated after the game.
