Prince William plans to participate in the United Nations climate conference in South America in the coming weeks, as confirmed by palace sources.
The father and son duo made a joint appearance on Thursday evening at a reception preceding the environmental conference, which is set to be held in the Amazonian city of Belém.
The King and Prince were present at the scientific institution event, marking an noteworthy combined presence at a environmental conference preliminary meeting arranged together with the United Kingdom administration.
Environmental Advocacy Dedication
King Charles has been a consistent supporter of biodiversity preservation - and the Prince of Wales has assumed the responsibility, with his own Earthshot awards, which will be taking place in South America before the UN meeting.
Royal sources have characterized William's involvement at the next COP as stepping up an important role in "environmental negotiations".

The monarch and his heir, arriving together in the state Bentley, were welcomed participants featuring conservation experts, researchers, environmental activists, diplomats and government officials.
This engagement included speaking alongside President Emmanuel Macron of France and other world leaders at the Marine Economy Conference in Monaco in recent months.
